Captain Marvel (2019) Review Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Reviews #100%, the place where you can be nerdy about movies! Today, I will do the review for the newest addition in the MCU and that is Carol Danvers, a.k.a Captain Marvel. I should have done this review a couple of days ago because I have already seen the movie last weekend but, unfortunately, I did not have the time for it. Fortunately, I found some spare time today and I will give you my personal thoughts about it. It's what I expected? Did I like it? It was good? It was bad? All of these questions will be answered in the following paragraph. What I can say, with all of my sincerity, is that the movie went somewhere that I did not expect and I was pleasantly surprised and confused at the same time, if that makes any kind of sense. I am saying that because the movie starts with kinda the middle part, then it goes one at the beginning, resulting into a confusing mashup of different timelines.

Happy Death Day 2U (2019) Review Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Nerd, the place where you can be nerdy about movies! Because Happy Death Day was a hit, commercially and critically, of course a sequel was going to be made and I just saw it last night. It is as good as the first? Does it still feel fresh and original? Well, yes and no. It's definitely not as good as the first one and not as fresh, that's for sure. What I can safely say is that this one is way funnier than the previous movie, it's also got a sci-fi twist as a second premise, which was a nice little addition there and, as one of the characters graciously informs us that what was happening was similar with the Back to the Future, in the same way Groundhog Day was mentioned in the first movie. Almost forgot the synopsis here: Collegian Tree Gelbman wakes up in horror to learn that she's stuck in a parallel universe. Her boyfriend Carter is now with someone else, and her fr

Alita: Battle Angel (2019) Review Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Reviews #100%, the place where you can be nerdy about movies! Well, some time has passed since my last review but I was secretly preparing for joining the Secret Services and I did not have time for movie reviews. Just kidding mates. Actually, I was very busy with work and no play but, fortunately, I had time to do a review for the latest from James Cameron until the Avatar sequels over power us. He is just producing the movie and wrote a part of the script but, like Peter Jackson with ''Mortal Engines'' you can see Cameron's involvement in the process of making this movie. But the style is specifically Robert Rodrigues's. If you are not familiar with this property, let me tell you that it is based on a series of manga comics created by Yukito Kishiro, titled ''Gunm'' but also known as ''Battle: Alita Angel''. Also, a bit of a syn

Escape Room (2019) Movie Review

Escape Room (2019) Review Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Reviews #100%, the place where you can be nerdy about movies! So, just to be clear, this is not the ''A Star Is Born'' review as I promised and it is unlikely that I will still make that review. Instead of that, I have a review about a movie with an escape room, which, I guess, is more entertaining than a dramatic musical. Don't get me wrong, ''A Star Is Born'' is a very good movie, very emotional, dramatic and gripping, with some very good performances and beautiful songs. But we are here to talk about ''Escape Room''. Ever thought what would come out if you mix the style of the ''Saw'' franchise with the plot of an escape room? Well, we have the end result with this movie. The plot is as simple as it gets: six strangers find themselves in circumstances beyond their control, and must use their wits to survive. Which is what you have
