Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) Review

The movie that started the low-budget gore fest, TTCM is a movie a true horror fan can love and watch over and over again. Great direction and camera work, and disturbingly realistic. Dated but still very original. Scary, terrifying, and a memorable villain makes TCSM one of true classics in horror history.

Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) Review Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Reviews! Today I'm reviewing the the first avenger. So, this is the lesser of the Captain America movies, but when I say lesser I don't mean bad. This is not a bad movie. Is actually pretty great. You got very good action, a retro and old school vibe, stellar cast, great performances, awesome villain and some good humor as well. It's directed by Joe Johnston, who also gave us "Jumanji" and "The Wolfman" from 2010. And, unfortunately, "Jurassic Park III" as well. And the only decent movie from those three is "Jumanji". But with this one he does a nice job. Who would have thought that an old-fashioned Marvel movie could be so entertaining. Of course, there are some bits that don't work. The pacing is a bit slow at the beginning but the way that Steve Rogers is introduced is excellent. We get a scrawny kid who wants to join the army and fight f...

The Emoji Movie (2017) Movie Review

The Emoji Movie (2017) Review Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Talks with Tudor! So, let's talk a bit about this new mistake that Sony Pictures made in the movie industry. The whole movie is a mash-up of all of the things that made "The Lego Movie", "Inside Out" and "Wreck-it Ralph" great but, in this case, those things make this one a piece of shit. The script is lazy and derivative, the humor lacks any quality whatsoever and the whole plot of the movie is unoriginal, with to many similarities with the 3 movies I've mentioned before. The voice performances are great, the actors are doing the best they can with what they got but all of the jokes fall flat almost all of the time. It maybe good for the smallest of children but for anyone else it is a big mistake and the worst thing I have ever seen. Not even the animation is that great. It is a movie that should not have been made. And all my respect to Sir Patrick Stewart on taking the voic...

The Magnificent Seven (2016) Movie Review

The Magnificent Seven (2016) Review So we got another remake but this time it's good. It's actually not a remake, it's a re-remake because the one from the 1960 was a remake for the 1954 "Seven Samurais" from the legendary filmmaker Akira Kurosawa. You don't have to like either of these two movies, but I strongly recommend all three of them, to enjoy this one. It does not live up to it's title and it does not top the original but it is a very entertaining action western that stands on its one. If you have seen the classic from the 1960 you will recognize a few lines and, undoubtedly, the famous theme song. The action is great, the final showdown is a delight, the cast is excellent with great performances from each one but the stand outs were Chris Pratt, Denzel Washington and Vincent D'Onofrio. Director Antoine Fuqua, who collaborate with Washington for the excellent "Training Day" and "The Equalizer", brings a modern touch to ...
