Mission: Impossible (1996) Review

Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Talks with Tudor! I know, it has been a while but I had some things some things that I had to deal with, a recent injury but I am all good now and I am ready to get back to work and deliver some top notch reviews and to receive some top notch responses from you and some good money, just for good measure.

Seeing that the 6th movie in the Mission Impossible franchise is coming out, which I am going to see this weekend, I've decided to revisit the first five movies and give you my thoughts about each of them. And now, without further ado, here is the review.

So, the first movie of the series, which in inspired from the television series with the same name, it's exactly in the style of said TV series. It relies more on the suspense and tension rather than gorgeous special effects and dazzling action sequences, which this one has as well but in a much more short supply than the future entries in this franchise. It's simple, with a plot that, at some points may seem a bit convoluted and ridiculous but it gave us a memorable scene that is full of tension and suspense, which are, like I said, the strong points of this movie. Action is good, the special effects, for that time still look very nice, there are some scenes in which the special effects don't look as good but that is just nitpicking at this point. Very good acting, with some bits and bobs that don't always work but, overall, a nicely executed spy action thriller. 7.3/10

OK guys, that is my review for today. Tomorrow, time to bite hard on the second movie. Until then, take care and keep on reviewing!
