Cars 3 (2017) Review

So, those the third movie in this franchise washes the bad taste that "Cars 2" left us with? Not entirely but it's definitely on the right track. If the first one was "Rocky", the third one has bits of "Rocky V", "Rocky Balboa" and "Creed". I enjoyed the story, although, again familiar but it has a kinda dark and serious feel to it. It has emotion, it has heart, tension and suspense, like the first movie. And that is my problem with this one. It is to similar with the first one. Of course, there are some differences, but at the core, it's kinda the same. Judging by the bad reviews that the second movie got, they decided to go back and redo the first movie, with some slight adjustments. I mean, besides the middle part, the beginning and the end are very similar with the first movie. That being said, I enjoyed it. The visuals are excellent, the stakes are higher, which heightens the suspense and tension, the soundtrack, like the other two movies, is awesome and voice talent is still very good. Overall, it's an improvement and, although the story is familiar and the similarities with the first movie are very obvious, it works. It's a enjoyable movie. 7.2/10
