Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) Review


Hello guys and welcome back to another round, the final one for this year, of Movie Talks with Tudor! So, because I have a lot of preparations to do for tomorrow because it New Year's Eve, I decided to give my review of this update of "Jumanji" today. What a fun and hilarious movie experience this has been. Because I am a fan of the original one, I had my doubts about this sequel, because it is a sequel and not a remake. And man, how my doubts disappeared immediately as the movie began. The idea is clever, putting the game in the video world, to be more appealing to the audience of today and making it kinda like a virtual reality thing. The movie is very funny, I mean it's freaking hilarious, with jokes that land almost all the time and it's good quality humor. The cast is great, full of charm plus the avatars acting like the real characters is what made this film very good. They look different but, inside, they are the same, with the same strengths and weaknesses. The villain is a bit generic but the action and special effects scenes are awesome. Plus the nod and homage for the original movie and the character of Robin Williams is very well utilized in the story. I would it's better than the original but the first one has a special place in my heart so I am still with the 95 version. But this was a very nice surprise and a very entertaining one, that had a plot, a story, nice characters, a very good cast and excellent humor. 7.5/10

In the Mood for Love(O iubire imposibilă-2000)-Regia:Kar Wai Wong Comentariu:Filmul “In the Mood for Love” regizat de către Kar Wai Wong este un film frumos şi mai ales poetic. Ȋn ceea ce priveşte acţiunea nu este foarte ofertant, dar compensează în domeniul stărilor şi emoţiilor pe care acest film vrea să le suprindă. Filmul prezintă o anumită lentoare şi repetitivitate a scenelor, de la mişcările personajelor la curgerea timpului. Este o dramă neaşteptată, plină de-o emoţie şi-o culoare deosebită, iar puterea filmului vine din tensiunea acumulată pe parcurs stingându-se în scorbura unui copac, unde bărbatul îşi lasă toate amintirile. Cele două personaje nu au măsura timpului iar iubirea lor îi menţine într-o stare atemporală, vraja neputând fi ruptă decât prin prefacere sau negare, aceste lucruri ducând la o despărţire totală. Ȋn concluzie filmul merită văzut dar e nevoie de-o răbdare şi-o sensibilitate enormă pentru a te adapta acelui ritm şi a trece dincolo de coaja lucrur

Remembering Carrie Fisher (1956 - 2016)

Carrie Fisher Tribute Man, this year, 2016, continues to deliver us untimely deaths of celebrities and,  tuesday, we find out that Carrie Fisher has passed away. A very sad moment, especially for those who grow up with her and the Star Wars movies. Of course, her most memorable role was Princess Leia in the Star Wars saga but she was also a true activist, humanitarian and writer. This is just the worst and I can't believe she has left this world. It is a shocking news and I still can't believed it. R.I.P. Carrie Fisher, you will be missed.

Wind River (2017) Review Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Talks with Tudor! For today, I have prepared three new reviews for three movies, one was good and the other two not so much. So let's start with the good one and I mean this one, of course. If you have seen "Sicario" and "Hell or High Water" and you enjoy watching those movies you will certainly enjoy this one as well. And it is based on real events so it has that reality based element, which is going to make you appreciate this movie even more. It's smartly written, beautifully executed, with the environment playing a big part in inducing the viewer into the chilling atmosphere of the story. It's dramatic, filled with emotions, suspense and thrills and it will keep you invested from beginning to end. It has a fast pace and, although it has it slower moments, it does not get boring. On the contrary, it becomes more interesting. Love the cast, great cast and, of course, great performances
