Aliens (1986) Movie Review - SPOILER ALERT

Aliens (1986) Review

Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Reviews! Today is the second "Alien" movie. The one problem that I had with the first movie, although brilliant, was the lack of action. Being a sci-fi horror movie rather than a action movie, of course it will have a slow pace build up combined with an atmospheric tension. And that made the movie great but I liked the second one better. Because it has action, very good action sequences. The dark tone still remains and the sense of dread and horror is still present. Mainly in the beginning of the movie, with the first half being sort of a recognizance mission. And from the second act it transforms into this action packed thrill ride. Sigourney Weaver's performance is more powerful and emotional in this movie. Her character kinda resemblance the alien queen, because she would do everything to protect her people. Ripley is kinda a mother figure to the soldiers and the little girl. And that little girl gives Ripley another chance at being a mother because she lost her daughter. What I liked about this movie, apart from the action and Bill Paxton's (R.I.P) performance, is that the movie starts off as a horror and, bit by bit, transforms into an action masterpiece. Too bad the sequels were not as good. More on that tomorrow. 9/10

OK guys, that is my review for today. Be sure to check out, tomorrow, my reviews for the third and fourth "Alien" movie. Until then, take care and keep on reviewing!
