Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) Review


So, giving that this year marks the 50th anniversary of "Star Wars" and Star Wars Celebration had so many good things to offer and "Star Wars Rebels" is going to end with the 4th season that comes out this fall and the fact that I just begun to watch "The Clone Wars" animated series, besides "Rebels", I said that I should check out the only animated "Star Wars" movie. Was I disappointed? Yes. Is the movie really bad? Yes and no. Do I regret watching it? No, because I am a true "Star Wars" fan and I suffered thru the prequels. I am wondering why do they made this movie and the only reason I can think of is to introduce to us a new character that will appear in "Rebels". So that, if you watch "Rebels" after "The Clone Wars" series, you can understand the story better. Unfortunately, the movie suffers from it's own animation. It's not that great, it looks so unnatural. Plus, the script is awful. However, the action is pretty good and it's more than I expected. Sadly, the movie does not offer the thrill and wonder that made the original trilogy so popular and good. It pails in comparison. But it was an decent effort, to say the least. 5.8/10

OK guys, those are the reviews for today. This weekend, we go on a medieval/modern ride with "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" and a tale as old as time, with the live action remake "Beauty and the Beast". Until then, take care and keep on reviewing!

In the Mood for Love(O iubire imposibilă-2000)-Regia:Kar Wai Wong Comentariu:Filmul “In the Mood for Love” regizat de către Kar Wai Wong este un film frumos şi mai ales poetic. Ȋn ceea ce priveşte acţiunea nu este foarte ofertant, dar compensează în domeniul stărilor şi emoţiilor pe care acest film vrea să le suprindă. Filmul prezintă o anumită lentoare şi repetitivitate a scenelor, de la mişcările personajelor la curgerea timpului. Este o dramă neaşteptată, plină de-o emoţie şi-o culoare deosebită, iar puterea filmului vine din tensiunea acumulată pe parcurs stingându-se în scorbura unui copac, unde bărbatul îşi lasă toate amintirile. Cele două personaje nu au măsura timpului iar iubirea lor îi menţine într-o stare atemporală, vraja neputând fi ruptă decât prin prefacere sau negare, aceste lucruri ducând la o despărţire totală. Ȋn concluzie filmul merită văzut dar e nevoie de-o răbdare şi-o sensibilitate enormă pentru a te adapta acelui ritm şi a trece dincolo de coaja lucrur

Remembering Carrie Fisher (1956 - 2016)

Carrie Fisher Tribute Man, this year, 2016, continues to deliver us untimely deaths of celebrities and,  tuesday, we find out that Carrie Fisher has passed away. A very sad moment, especially for those who grow up with her and the Star Wars movies. Of course, her most memorable role was Princess Leia in the Star Wars saga but she was also a true activist, humanitarian and writer. This is just the worst and I can't believe she has left this world. It is a shocking news and I still can't believed it. R.I.P. Carrie Fisher, you will be missed.

Wind River (2017) Review Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Talks with Tudor! For today, I have prepared three new reviews for three movies, one was good and the other two not so much. So let's start with the good one and I mean this one, of course. If you have seen "Sicario" and "Hell or High Water" and you enjoy watching those movies you will certainly enjoy this one as well. And it is based on real events so it has that reality based element, which is going to make you appreciate this movie even more. It's smartly written, beautifully executed, with the environment playing a big part in inducing the viewer into the chilling atmosphere of the story. It's dramatic, filled with emotions, suspense and thrills and it will keep you invested from beginning to end. It has a fast pace and, although it has it slower moments, it does not get boring. On the contrary, it becomes more interesting. Love the cast, great cast and, of course, great performances
