Darkest Hour (2017) Review

Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Talks with Tudor! Well, this was an incredible movie with an equally incredible performance from Gary Oldman as Churchill. I mean, Oldman and Churchill is brought back to life in this movie and not by only the sheer passion, grit and emotion that Oldman exhibits in his performance but also from the very talented make-up crew. As far as the movie goes, if you liked Christopher Nolan's "Dunkirk" you will enjoy this one as well because, in the first you saw first hand "Operation Dynamo" taking place but in this one you will see how it all was put together to save all of those soldiers. Although the narrative falters in some aspects of the film, the performances and the talent in film making of Joe Wright will surely keep you invested. And, although the movie is almost two hours long it feels shorter because you don't stop to look at your watch, the movie is not boring and it has every ingredient to keep you engaged and focused, wondering what will happen next. And that is why I very much enjoyed this movie and got passed some of it's flaws. 8.6/10

OK guys, that is my review for today. Next up, journey into the underworld with "Coco". Until then, take care and keep on reviewing!
