Despicable Me (2010) Review

Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Talks with Tudor! Today, I will review the first of the "Despicable..." movies and the one that introduced us to the minions. I enjoyed the hell out of this movie, even though it's the 5th or 6th time I've seen it. It gets more and more enjoyable each time you see it because it's that good. What Universal did with this is that, they borrowed elements from Pixar and a lot of stuff from the Looney Tunes era, with the zany comedy and the loony minions, if you will and turned into a family-friendly movie with a emotional and touching story. Basically, if you were a parent and you have kids this is the animation for you. It is perfect for kids to enjoy and for adults to appreciate the joy that a child can bring to you. Although the movie is seven years old, the animation looks great. The action scenes and incredible, the voice acting is impeccable, Steve Carell is a top notch choice to voice this character and I did not know that Russell Brand and Kristen Wig voiced in this movie, until I saw their names on the end credits. The story is a bit classic, with the villain being a bad guy at the beginning but then he has a turn of heart, becomes a good guy and saves the world. Another 2010 animation kinda had the same story, "Megamind". So, nothing new in that department but there some few surprises. Again, like in the "Minions" review, the script is not good, a lot of stuff don't makes sense and lacks logic and the humor might be a bit rude for the youngest of kids but the older ones and the adults will surely appreciate it. Overall, it's a good movie to watch and learn about what it means to be a parent. 7.5/10

OK guys, that is my review for today. Next up, "Despicable Me 2". Until then, take care and keep on reviewing!
