Waiting... (2005) Review


Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Talks with Tudor! Today, we will talk about a movie with Ryan Reynolds from way back, before he was Deadpool. It's a comedy that reminded me, a bit, of Kevin Smith's "Clerks". Of course, we cannot compare the two because "Clerks" is a way better comedy than this one but the whole atmosphere reminded me of that movie. The humor, for some, may be gross, juvenile and childish. And they would be right but, in this movie, I did not mind that type of humor. It kinda works in this one, with the entire situation and story. Ryan Reynolds is still Van Wilder in this movie and the rest of the cast is doing what they can with what they got, which is not much. Overall, it's not the worst movie I've ever seen, it's got it's moments, however few there are and you can have fun with this movie, alongside friends not family. Hey, if you liked "Deadpool" you should check out this movie! There is a sequel, came out in 2009 and it's called "Still Waiting" but some of the actors from the original are gone, the story sucks, the humor is worse than in this one and it was straight to video so don't watch it! 6/10

In the Mood for Love(O iubire imposibilă-2000)-Regia:Kar Wai Wong Comentariu:Filmul “In the Mood for Love” regizat de către Kar Wai Wong este un film frumos şi mai ales poetic. Ȋn ceea ce priveşte acţiunea nu este foarte ofertant, dar compensează în domeniul stărilor şi emoţiilor pe care acest film vrea să le suprindă. Filmul prezintă o anumită lentoare şi repetitivitate a scenelor, de la mişcările personajelor la curgerea timpului. Este o dramă neaşteptată, plină de-o emoţie şi-o culoare deosebită, iar puterea filmului vine din tensiunea acumulată pe parcurs stingându-se în scorbura unui copac, unde bărbatul îşi lasă toate amintirile. Cele două personaje nu au măsura timpului iar iubirea lor îi menţine într-o stare atemporală, vraja neputând fi ruptă decât prin prefacere sau negare, aceste lucruri ducând la o despărţire totală. Ȋn concluzie filmul merită văzut dar e nevoie de-o răbdare şi-o sensibilitate enormă pentru a te adapta acelui ritm şi a trece dincolo de coaja lucrur

Remembering Carrie Fisher (1956 - 2016)

Carrie Fisher Tribute Man, this year, 2016, continues to deliver us untimely deaths of celebrities and,  tuesday, we find out that Carrie Fisher has passed away. A very sad moment, especially for those who grow up with her and the Star Wars movies. Of course, her most memorable role was Princess Leia in the Star Wars saga but she was also a true activist, humanitarian and writer. This is just the worst and I can't believe she has left this world. It is a shocking news and I still can't believed it. R.I.P. Carrie Fisher, you will be missed.

Wind River (2017) Review Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Talks with Tudor! For today, I have prepared three new reviews for three movies, one was good and the other two not so much. So let's start with the good one and I mean this one, of course. If you have seen "Sicario" and "Hell or High Water" and you enjoy watching those movies you will certainly enjoy this one as well. And it is based on real events so it has that reality based element, which is going to make you appreciate this movie even more. It's smartly written, beautifully executed, with the environment playing a big part in inducing the viewer into the chilling atmosphere of the story. It's dramatic, filled with emotions, suspense and thrills and it will keep you invested from beginning to end. It has a fast pace and, although it has it slower moments, it does not get boring. On the contrary, it becomes more interesting. Love the cast, great cast and, of course, great performances
