The Founder (2017) Review

Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Reviews! Today I'm reviewing the movie that tells the story of Ray Kroc, the one who, allegedly, started McDonald's. The movie is going to split audiences thru the middle. Why am I saying that? Because, some of you are going to see this movie and buy a McDonald's menu after. Others, however, might not agree with how McDonald's came to be what it is today. When you see how far Ray Kroc has gone to achieve ownership of this company and the lives that he destroyed in the process, you are going to see McDonald's with different eyes. I'm not saying that you will not still go and eat at McDonald's but your opinion about the history of this giant industry might change a little bit. With that out of the way, the movie is a smart, sturdy and really well done biopic. It shows you, with many details, how this brand, that started off with a small drive-inn, became one of the biggest fast-food industries in the world. It works very well as a commercial for McDonald's and, of course, you are going to get the munchies for some burgers, fries and a Coke. Michael Keaton delivers an outstanding performance, as well as Nick Offerman and John Carroll Lynch as the two brothers. The movie has a similar story with "The Social Network". The director, John Lee Hancock, who also did another excellent real life story called "The Blind Side", knows how to do a good biopic and, with this one, he showed that, if you want something in America, you must be persistent. I'm not fond of the story behind the McDonald's but I enjoyed the movie very much. 8.5/10

OK guys, that is my review for the movie "The Founder". What did you think of it? Did you liked it? Coming with more reviews later this week. Until then, have a nice day and keep on reviewing!
