Saw (2004) Movie Review

Saw (2004) Review

Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Talks with Tudor! Because the new "Jigsaw" movie is coming out soon I decided to re-watch the first seven movie starting with the one, that still remains, the best of the franchise. Why do I say that? Because this is more than a horror movie, it's more than your average gore fest, although it does have some gore that will definitely send a shiver down your spine in a good way. This one is more of a psychological thriller with horror elements. It is very tense, very suspenseful, the scene with Adam in his apartment is excellently crafted, very intense, particularly the ending of the movie, with a build up that works and a reveal that blew everyone away. That was a magnificent twist, a part that will become synonymous with the "Saw" franchise. Cary Elwes has some good acting parts but in some other parts, he kinda falls down in the over acting department. It's not a perfect movie because it does have editing flaws, stupid dialogue, parts of the script that are not as good and, although, the ending twist was marvelous, the movie is over stuffed with them, which we did not need. The one at the end would have been enough but James Was, famous for creating the increasingly popular Conjuverse and the "Insidious" franchise, did a good job on keeping you on your toes most of the movie. 7/10

OK guys, that is my review for this one. Next up is "Saw 2". Until then, take care and keep on reviewing!
