Get Out (2017) Review

Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Reviews! Today I'm going to talk about this amazing and thought- provoking movie. Any of you remember that old movie from the 60's, "Guess who's coming to diner"? The people who were and lived thru the 60's definitely know this one. Because I don't. I'm a millennial so it's very ahead of my time but I know the main story of that movie from seeing different modern iterations of that particular subject. So, imagine that movie with a weird and sick twist from the mind of comedian Jordan Peele. The main plot is the same but the rest of it is purely and utter madness. It begins normally, like a soft romantic comedy but then, with all those twists and turns, it transforms into a thrill ride with horror and comedic elements. The most part of the movie you don't even know what the hell is going on, until the final act and you try to guess and you ask yourself tons of questions. And that is the beauty of this movie, it forces you to second guess. It's scary, it's entertaining, funny and it makes you think that maybe you are watching a good Shyamalan movie. It reminded me, a little bit, of "The Visit". It has a twist towards the end, which I wasn't surprised by and the ending could have been better but there is no doubt that Jordan Peele made an incredible and masterful movie, with great visuals, an eerie and haunting soundtrack, perfect for this movie and taking a jab at the racism that plagued and is still present in America these days. A great mix between horror and comedy with an important message that makes you think. Soon to be a classic, no doubt! And Daniel Kaluuya gave an incredible and believable performance. Keep an eye out for this guy. No wonder he is in "Black Panther". Great job sir! 9/10

OK guys, that is my review for today. Coming days, if I'm not out of town, reviews for more serious roles done by Kristen Stewart, starting with "Personal Shopper". Until then, take care and keep on reviewing!
