Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (2017) Movie Poster and Trailer Review


Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Reviews! Yes, I know I will not review any movie till next week but this is not a movie review. Star Wars Celebration is continuing and I could not resist on talking about the new poster and trailer for "The Last Jedi". Let's start with the poster first. It looks awesome, I think is the best one yet and it's got that oldie feel and vibe to it. Like the original posters for the original trilogy. And it says the whole story in that poster. You have Luke, Kylo and Rey who's holding a lightsaber that begins blue and continues with red. And shows you the conflict that Rey is going to go thru. Should she stay in the light or follow the dark path? Excellent poster. Now the trailer. I did not expect on being this good. It does not show you much but it shows enough to keep you excited for December. I didn't need to see more. For me it was enough. And that line from Luke and the end of the trailer gave me shivers. What does it mean "the Jedi has to end"? Is Luke going to give up on training Rey because he failed with Ben Solo? Or is Rey going to be the last Jedi? Maybe will get some answers in other trailers?! If not we'll have to wait for December to find out. 

OK guys, that is my take on the poster and the trailer. What did you think? Star Wars Celebration continues this weekend and we are going to get more for the 40th anniversary. Like I said, other reviews next week. Till then, take care and "may the force be with you"!

In the Mood for Love(O iubire imposibilă-2000)-Regia:Kar Wai Wong Comentariu:Filmul “In the Mood for Love” regizat de către Kar Wai Wong este un film frumos şi mai ales poetic. Ȋn ceea ce priveşte acţiunea nu este foarte ofertant, dar compensează în domeniul stărilor şi emoţiilor pe care acest film vrea să le suprindă. Filmul prezintă o anumită lentoare şi repetitivitate a scenelor, de la mişcările personajelor la curgerea timpului. Este o dramă neaşteptată, plină de-o emoţie şi-o culoare deosebită, iar puterea filmului vine din tensiunea acumulată pe parcurs stingându-se în scorbura unui copac, unde bărbatul îşi lasă toate amintirile. Cele două personaje nu au măsura timpului iar iubirea lor îi menţine într-o stare atemporală, vraja neputând fi ruptă decât prin prefacere sau negare, aceste lucruri ducând la o despărţire totală. Ȋn concluzie filmul merită văzut dar e nevoie de-o răbdare şi-o sensibilitate enormă pentru a te adapta acelui ritm şi a trece dincolo de coaja lucrur

Remembering Carrie Fisher (1956 - 2016)

Carrie Fisher Tribute Man, this year, 2016, continues to deliver us untimely deaths of celebrities and,  tuesday, we find out that Carrie Fisher has passed away. A very sad moment, especially for those who grow up with her and the Star Wars movies. Of course, her most memorable role was Princess Leia in the Star Wars saga but she was also a true activist, humanitarian and writer. This is just the worst and I can't believe she has left this world. It is a shocking news and I still can't believed it. R.I.P. Carrie Fisher, you will be missed.

Wind River (2017) Review Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Talks with Tudor! For today, I have prepared three new reviews for three movies, one was good and the other two not so much. So let's start with the good one and I mean this one, of course. If you have seen "Sicario" and "Hell or High Water" and you enjoy watching those movies you will certainly enjoy this one as well. And it is based on real events so it has that reality based element, which is going to make you appreciate this movie even more. It's smartly written, beautifully executed, with the environment playing a big part in inducing the viewer into the chilling atmosphere of the story. It's dramatic, filled with emotions, suspense and thrills and it will keep you invested from beginning to end. It has a fast pace and, although it has it slower moments, it does not get boring. On the contrary, it becomes more interesting. Love the cast, great cast and, of course, great performances
