Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) Review


Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Reviews! So, when this movie was announced I was very excited. Two of the most influential and iconic american superheroes battling each other. Sound like an awesome movie, right? Well, the end result was not that awesome. Particularly, I liked the introduction of the movie and how well it ties in with "Man of Steel". It's the battle between Superman and Zod and we see everything from Bruce Wayne's perspective, kinda giving us an inside eye from that event, which was great. What supposed to be a great story, however, is drenched in a tide of CGI and chaotic action. Make no mistake, the action is great, mainly the long awaited and short battle between the main two characters plus the end battle against Doomsday, which was not a surprise because that element was gone thanks to the movie's third trailer. Another negative is the performances, mainly Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal of Lex Luthor. He comes out like a poor imitation of the Joker and not the super minded villain that Lex Luthor really is. One other thing, Superman is just a side character in this movie, being all depressed and looking rather dull. And the main reason that the fight is cut short is that both of their mothers share the same name. I mean, that is just plain stupid. The upside of this movie, besides the great action and the excellent and well choreographed scene with Batman fighting in the warehouse, is Ben Affleck's performance as Batman and the adding of Wonder Woman. Overall, watch the Ultimate Edition. It's a half our longer, if you can believe that but it covers some plot holes from the theatrical version and it can make you enjoy this movie more that it supposed to be enjoyed. 6.9//10

And it is based on real events so it has that reality based element, which is going to make you appreciate this movie even more. It's smartly written, beautifully executed, with the environment playing a big part in inducing the viewer into the chilling atmosphere of the story. It's dramatic, filled with emotions, suspense and thrills and it will keep you invested from beginning to end. It has a fast pace and, although it has it slower moments, it does not get boring. Mission Impossible 3 (2006) Review Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Talks with Tudor! Well, this is what I am talking about, if you want to make a great action movie but still keep the style and panache of the original. J.J. Abrams did it. He combined, successfully I might add, the stunts and special effects with the style that made the first MI so good. It does suffer in some departments, especially the script and character development but that is just nitpicking at this point. The visual effects are awesome, the action is great and fast paced giving you the right amount of time to breathe before it chuckles you again into the action. The acting is top notch with a very good villainy performance from P.S. Hoffman.
