Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) Review

Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Reviews! Today, it's the third outing of Michael Bay's Transformers. I noticed a pattern with this movies. The first one was OK, undeniably the best in the series, the second one was almost crap, which means not good and now, the third one is an improvement over the second one. Yes, the running time is, once again, bloated and exaggerated and the script is floozy and thin but there are some good things with this movie. The story is a bit tighter, apart from some big plot holes, the battles are shot more expertly, a big word for this movie and the feeling of shaky cam is almost gone. It has some emotional depth to it, the humor has improved as well, with Sam' parents appearing in only 2 scenes, which is good and the inclusion of Alan Tudyk really helped the comedy. We have some new characters, that don't have any exposition or a backstory whatsoever. The replacing of Megan Fox with Rosie- Huntington Whiteley did not improve on the acting department. She is just eye candy. There are some twists in this movie but there kinda predictable. Again, the special effects and the action are unbelievable and impressive plus the 3-D elevates the quality of said special effects and action sequences. The third act of the movie is purely and utterly explosive. Unfortunately, they don't compensate the length of the movie and the uneven script. 6.7/10

OK guys, that is my review for today. Next up, "Age of Extinction". Until then, take care and keep on reviewing!
