Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) Review


Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Reviews! Today we are talking about the fourth installment in the Michael Bay blockbuster franchise. There is a line in this movie from the main villain and it talks about the human intelligence and he asks that "is there is such a thing?". Judging by this movie, I'm not sure that it is, mainly in the making of this movie. It's a mess of a movie. The script is awful, the dialogue is awful, some of the lines are so stupid and nonsensical, the run time is the highest of the series, bloated out of proportions. Most of the humor does not work, it's very americanized and full of product placement. The story sucks, the romance between two new characters is very weird and inappropriate. Plus the action is the most exaggerated and non believable of the series, how awesome and entertaining it may be. Connections with the third movie are stretched very thin, non of the human characters from the previous movies are not even mentioned in this one, is like it's a different universe. The new characters are normal, they don't bring anything new to the table. The actors are fine, no problem there. The inclusion of the Dino Bots was great but they were introduced to damn late in the movie and that took out most of the excitement and anticipation. Die hard fans of this franchise and the ones who love action and big explosions will be satisfied with this but anyone else would gladly give this a pass. It's slightly worse than "Revenge of the Fallen". 5.5/10

It's dramatic, filled with emotions, suspense and thrills and it will keep you invested from beginning to end. It has a fast pace and, although it has it slower moments, it does not get boring. Mission Impossible 3 (2006) Review Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Talks with Tudor! Well, this is what I am talking about, if you want to make a great action movie but still keep the style and panache of the original. J.J. Abrams did it. He combined, successfully I might add, the stunts and special effects with the style that made the first MI so good. It does suffer in some departments, especially the script and character development but that is just nitpicking at this point. The visual effects are awesome, the action is great and fast paced giving you the right amount of time to breathe before it chuckles you again into the action. The acting is top notch with a very good villainy performance from P.S. Hoffman.
