The Transformers: The Movie (1986) Review
Hello guys and welcome back to Movie Reviews! With the new "Transformers" movie coming out this week, I went back, all the way in the 80's to see and review this first feature film of the "Transformers" cartoon. It's just a stupid animation. Well, it's not stupid but it is definitely surprising. Why is that? Well, because it's very emotional, dark and gritty for a kids animation. The action is surprisingly intense, also and I'm not sure that this is a bad thing or a good thing. For me is great and I think the "Transformers" fans would also appreciated. But it's a bit excessive. The colors are nice and the animation is pretty good for an 80's cartoon. The soundtrack is awesome, mainly the theme song. I'm not quite a fan of the sound effects. It's sounded cheap and annoying. The main focus is the war between the Transformers and the Decepticons with the humans being a side character, which is great because that is the problem in the Michael Bay era of the Transformers. But I will get to that in those reviews. Overall, it's a good animation and could be appreciated for what it is but, for children, it is a bit inappropriate. 7.2/10
